Colors Television had previously reported that it will soon launch its brand new show tentatively titled as Ishq Mein Mar Jawan in which actress Aalisha Panwar will play the female lead role. The show is supposed to be insecurely inspired by a popular Bollywood film Chaalbaaz starring Sridevi.  As per the anecdote of the movie, the actress Alisha Panwar would be witnessed essaying a dual role in the forthcoming show.

This beautiful actress is expected to be paired opposite to Arjun Bijlani, who is a popular actor last seen in Naagin and Pardes Mein Hair Mera Dil. However, the buzz is that Rajeev Khandelwal, the handsome hunk has been approached for playing the other male lead role in the show, though there is no confirmation released officially.

Plot/story:

The show expects to be a thriller, suspense and revenge story heavily based on Chaalbaaz starring Sridevi. Alisha Panwar is going to play the dual role of twin sisters. The show is produced by Mamta Patnaik and Yash Patnaik under the banner of Beyond Dreams Entertainment, which has produced a number of popular shows including Veer Ki Ardaas Veera, Sadda Haq and Kuch Rang Pyarr Ke Aise Bhi.
