Peshwa Bajirao Serial, Cast, Repeat, Timing, Date & Story – Sony TV

Sony TV, after witnessing the enormous success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani, has launched a television serial called Peshwa Bajirao. Initially, there was a tussle between &TV and Sony TV to launch the show. It was also reported that both, &TV and Sony TV, will air the serial based on the life of the Maratha warrior. However later, &TV backed out, and Sony TV began airing the show. If there is any new update on the &TV’s adaptation of this serial, we will update it. For now, we will be focusing on the Sony TV’s adaptation.

Peshwa Bajirao is a historical period drama based on the life of Maratha Peshwa Bajirao, first of his name. It will be produced by Sphere Origins Productions of Sunjoy Waddhwa and creatively produced by Nilanjana Purkayasshta’s company Invictus T Mediaworks. Although the series is inspired from the film, it will not primarily be a love story. The series will explore the origins of the great Maratha warrior. The series will be directed by Ikshvaku Kaila. Story

Unlike the film which narrated the tale of an older Bajirao, this television series will revolve primarily around the young Bajirao. How he became a Peshwa and a great Maratha warrior. He will be under the tutelage of his mother, father and the saint Brahamendra Swami. The series will also explore his arrange marriage with Kashibai and later depict his love interest Mastani. From his rule under Chhatrapathi Shahu to later when he himself sits on the throne, the series journey will entail all of it.
