MasterChef is the sole and hugely popular competitive cooking reality show in India airing on Star Plus. The show is based on MasterChef UK and the Indian edition begin airing in 2010. Come 2017, the show is all set and prepared for its sixth season. 30 contestants from all over India are selected to compete and then 16 contestants are finally selected for the show, who compete for the ultimate prize.
Vikas Khana, inarguably the best chef in India will return to judge the sixth season. Besides, Kunal Kapoor and Zorawar Kalra can be seen judging the show. However, it is not confirmed yet.
Audition Dates & Venues
The auditions are carried out across various cities in India.Adding to the delight of nonresident Indians, the auditions for MasterChef India have gone global. Last year, the auditions were carried out in San Francisco, Dubai and London.
This year, you can certainly expect an expansion in the show’s global reach for the auditions. To audition for the show, firstly, you need to register yourself online and then reach the specified venue in mentioned time. For its previous season the auditions began on 5th June 2016 and concluded on 26th June 2016. For its sixth season too, similar dates for auditions can be expected.
Regarding the premiere, the show premiered in the first week of October last season. And yet again, it is expected that the sixth season will debut around the same time for its 2017 season.

Before proceeding with the online registration details, you need to ensure that you are of at least 18 years age. For age verification, you will need a valid government identity proof.

Prize Money & Previous Winner
The winner of MasterChef India receives a huge prize money of 1 crore INR. Besides, the winner also gets an opportunity to publish his own recipe book. Kirti Bhoutika, a nutrition graduate from Kolkata won the last edition of MasterChef.
