A direct sequel to Age of Extinction, The Last Knight is the fifth installment in the Transformers franchise, at the helm of Michael Bay, again. The previous two films of the franchise have earned over 1 billion, and we don’t see any reason why this part won’t be able to replicate the same numbers or even surpass it. Spiderman Homecoming

Spiderman is one the most popular superheroes of all time. And that is the precisely the reason, MCU decided to include the character in its story line and the result was a third reboot. Ragnarok is the 17th film of Marvel Cinematic Universe and its grander than before. The path was quite righteously set by Civil War which became a billion grossing film. And the reasons to contemplate that Ragnarok will join the billion club of 2017 is thatHulk and Doctor Strange will be accompanying Thor in his third quest save Asgard from Hela and the impending doom, Ragnarok. Another reason being, Marvel Cinematic Universe can do no wrong when it comes to their content and execution. The fans take care of the rest.

The fifth installment looks even more promising with the right amalgamation of dark and witty tone. Will Turner, played be Orlando Bloom returns to the franchise and Javier Bardem as Armando Salazar will be the main antagonist of the film. Apparently, Salazar has some old grudges against Jack Sparrow, from his initial days as the Captain of the Black Pearl. It simply couldn’t get more exciting.

1. Star Wars : The Last Jedi

Release Date: December 15, 2017

Star Wars The Last Jedi

Expecting a Star Wars episode to gross a billion internationally would be a huge underestimation. The seventh episode, The Force Awakens came very close to achieve those numbers domestically. Internationally, it surpassed 2 billion. With Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) back in 8th episode, it can trigger some untapped nerves of box-office and an assumption that it would surpass Avatar won’t be an exaggeration.
